Claire Grace: 6 months old

My days and weeks seem to get shorter and shorter. I feel like one day I wake up and its Monday and the week seems to fly by and the next day is Thursday. I try to ignore the clutter and the dirty floors and dirty clothes so I can spend time playing in the floor and snuggling this rapidly growing girl but sometimes that's hard. I feel guilty for sewing or cleaning or for making her nap in her bed instead of holding her because it all feels like it is just flying right past me. She loves for anyone to hold her hands so that she can practice walking. She still loves being outside.

In a month this girl has gone from a wobbly sitting position to sitting very strong. She can go from pretty much any position to sitting very quickly! She can army crawl all of the living room and has started trying to make her way down the hall. Everything she picks up still goes straight to her mouth. I could clean the floor ten times a day and she would still find something that she shouldn't have.

She loves playing in her room. Mostly we have her sit on the rug in the living room to play but when we need to get things done, we put her in her crib with some toys. She will play for quite a while before she gets bored or realizes she is alone. She loves playing in front of the mirror. She will always give "the baby" a kiss in the mirror. She also will always kiss her jelly cat and baby doll.

She will eat anything that we put in front of her. She got a sippy cup and thinks drinking water is the best! She seems to like jello and cauliflower very much but mashed potatoes are still her favorite. She weighed 13.12 pounds at her 6 month wellness check and she was 26.5 inches long. She is so skinny and tall according to the charts! She can wear clothes ranging from 3 to 9 months. Shirts seem to run a little big on her but she definitely needs the length in her pants.
